For the 2011 and up Explorer they chose a 10w3v3 subwoofer which is capable of handling 500 watts RMS, so it will deliver solid hard hitting bass, and the enclosure is fits nicely on the passenger side of the hatch, allowing full use of the 3rd row of seating, with no loss of valuable cargo space!

We integrate this enclosure with a matching amplifier to the factory Ford stereo system, including those models with SYNC systems. This allows you to retain you factory dash appearance and all of your factory controls. We even add in a dedicated Bass Volume Control so that you can set the subwoofer volume to the level you like, whatever you mood.
